Information and Process
General Information:

Contra Costa County Office of Education Teacher Induction Program Handbook (CCCOE/TIP)
 
Participating Teacher Eligibility and Enrollment Process
- 
BUSD TIP Coordinator communicates/coordinates with HR, CCCOE, principals, and teachers to determine eligibility and job assignment of new hires based on credential status and work assignment.
 - 
BUSD TIP Coordinator contacts eligible teachers and matches them with a mentor.
 - 
CCCOE sends out registration information and both mentors and participating teachers sign commitment letters.
 - 
All eligible teachers are matched with a mentor by September 30th. Teachers hired after this date must enroll the following school year.
 
Activities
Participating Teacher

Participating Teachers do not receive compensation for participating in the program and BUSD does not charge them to participate.
 - 
However, teachers are given the option of earning credits for salary advancement.
 
Mentor/Cooperating Teacher/Support Provider

Mentors are given the option of earning credits for salary advancement
